I am testing the post because 30 years of IT work seemed to make no difference at all now that I am no longer doing that. If this is successful, then I will send this out so you can post things as well.
Pray for me this week. It is very exciting because I am going to see Eduardo. This is a wonderful young man. I met him when he was just 4 years old in a children's home in Guatemala. He is now 25 and a pastor for the same home in which he was raised. I took mission trips to the home every year for 5 years and saw him until he was about 9 years old.
Then he was able to become part of a traveling choir and came to Memphis when he was about 12 years old and I got to seem him that whole week. I served as their driver as they visited different places to sing. It has now been forever since I last saw him. Through the blessings of emails and pictures, I have kept up with him on a regular basis for years. I am so happy to have this opportunity. He calls me "Mom" which is so sweet as I was blessed with eleven nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces-nephew, but did not have children of my own. He will be in Memphis for 6 nights and I am invited to all of what he is scheduled to do while he is here.
On Thursday, he requested to spend all day with his Tennessee Mom - and it will be great.
He is a such a blessing to everyone he meets. I cannot wait!
favorite quotes and stuff....
A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
